In order to fulfill the law of conservation of energy (first law of thermodynamics) energy must be coming into the circuit at the switched coil.
If this additional energy is converted from surounding-heat then a cooling down of the coil and ferrite should be measurable !
But problems arrive with this explanation if we have aircore coils in vacuum at very low temperatures. A least there other possibilities of explanation like Zero Point Energy (ZPE), G-strain energy, aether or similar concepts have to be taken into account.

The Barkhausen effect detector detects minute modulations of the intensity of the field of a set of shielded permanent magnets that bias a specially selected nonlinear magnetic core material to a critical level of magnetization, the most non linear region of the B / H curve for the core material used. This magnetic bias creates a super critical condition between the magnetic domains and impurities in the polycrystalline structure of the detector core material.

Also note that strong gradients are an area already accepted by leading thermodynamicists to violate the second law of thermodynamics. E.g., see Dilip Kondepudi and Ilya Prigogine, Modern Thermodynamics: From Heat Engines to Dissipative Structures, Wiley, New York, 1998, reprinted with corrections 1999. Areas already known to violate thermodynamics are given on p. 459; one of them is strong gradients, another is memory of materials, etc. About such strong gradients, Kondepudi and Prigogine state that "not much is known, either theoretically or experimentally".
The Soliton Pulses Generator experiment by Jean-Louis Naudin

"Today, after some tests with the SP-Gen, my main hypothesis is that the train of Soliton pulses is produced by an avalanche effect of the domains walls in the ferrite core. The strong back EMF pulse initiates the motion of the Bloch walls which surround the magnetic domains. Then the avalanche waves of the Bloch walls go back and forth along the ferrite rod as a Soliton wave which moves back and forth in a long and rectangular tank filled with water. The avalanche effect of the domains walls is able to produce an induction with a very weak magnetic field, this is the well known Barkhausen effect6 discovered in 1919 by Heinrich George Barkhausen7. The most interesting fact to study here in this experiment, is that the Barkhausen jumps seem to move themselves autonomously in the ferrite rod after that the back EMF pulse which as initiated the process has vanished.
Today, it's still an hypothesis and more tests and deep investigations need to be conducted to confirm this fact..."

A shoe that wants to be a sloping mattress only forces you to walk the exact same way all the time. Wear a shoe that respects your feet and makes you able to adjust naturally to the surface. A shoe that lets you use your body's fundamental shock absorbing abilities. A shoe that lets your body automatically tell what is best for you, so you variate your walk and avoid heel striking when running. Grow stronger, not more dependent.

In other words, these fundamental existents -- the constituents of empty space -- behave like photons. That is, we have a theory and physical evidence consistent with (and supporting) the theory.
